Our Groups

We believe children thrive when their environment and resources are tailored to their abilities. Each of our groups is thoughtfully designed to support children in learning at their own pace, helping them make the most of their nursery experience.

We prioritize child-led learning, encouraging kids to explore, play, and follow their curiosity to build confidence and develop new skills.

Minimum Staff to Child Ratio 1:3

This group is specifically designed for infants and very young children, providing soothing, interactive activities that stimulate their senses. Our team ensures the children feel safe and content while encouraging them to explore the sights, sounds, and textures around them. Older children participate in group activities like singing and storytime.

Minimum Staff to Child Ratio 1:4

In this playschool group for children aged 2-3, they are encouraged to explore and play at their own pace. The space is equipped with low-level furniture and materials that support the development of motor skills through activities like climbing, running, and jumping. Additionally, we involve the children in engaging activities like singing, reading, and group discussions to enhance their communication and literacy skills, fostering both mental and physical growth.

Minimum Staff to Child Ratio 1:8

Our Emperors Group is tailored for older children aged 3-5, focusing on developing essential life skills like toilet training, self-feeding, and dressing. We provide a variety of engaging and enjoyable activities that help build confidence, improve social skills, and enhance coordination.

Nursery Practitioner with children at meal times

All day long, we provide a large selection of nutritious, well-balanced meals that encourage good eating practices. Our committed chefs provide three hearty, nourishing meals every day along with extra wholesome snacks using fresh, local products wherever feasible. Please inform us of any dietary restrictions or allergies, and we will adjust the meals to suit your needs.

Meals & Diet

Healthy minds, healthy bodies and healthy appetites

Even additional chances to learn and have fun are offered during mealtimes at Moor Allerton Hall. Talking with friends and colleagues, as well as experimenting with new and interesting meals, can help children develop their social skills. We encourage children to make their own decisions and choices about which foods they would like to eat and allow them to self-serve, helping improve fine motor skills and dexterity.

Outdoor Play

Since kids enjoy being outside, we at Moor Allerton Nursery encourage outdoor learning in all kinds of weather! Every day, we engage in enjoyable and stimulating outdoor activities that support children in learning new skills and boosting their self-esteem.

Our recently renovated outdoor area offers a plethora of fresh challenges suitable for all age groups and fosters a habit of physical fitness and well-being in kids that they should carry into adulthood.
