Granary Wharf Nursery
With 27 daycare places, Granary Wharf Nursery offers a home away from home where children settle in quickly and form close friendships with other children and staff. The nursery is suitable for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old.
As well as providing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, outdoor play is also an important part of our day at Granary Wharf Nursery. Despite the nursery being in the city centre, children still benefit from spending lots of time outdoors. Our large outdoor play area is filled with engaging equipment, perfect for outside playing, learning, and having fun.
The central Leeds location of this nursery means that parents working in Leeds can take comfort in knowing their children are close by and can easily pop in for a quick visit during lunch breaks. The nursery is just a few minutes’ walk from Leeds City Train Station, with close links to all motorway routes.

Our Groups
At Granary Wharf Nursery we offer daycare places for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old.
The playschool is split into age-appropriate rooms, so that all children can fully benefit from the activities and equipment to best suit their age.
Our team of experienced staff members oversee each room and tailor the activities they provide to the ability of the children, ensuring they can learn at their own pace.
Minimum Staff to Child Ratio 1:3
This nursery room provides a gentle, calming environment for younger babies and children, who are at this age simply taking in the world around them. Our team offer tactile activities to engage young children and ensure they are feeling happy and at home in the nursery. Older children participate in activities such as singing, reading and daily ‘circle time’ - a great way to make friends and grow social skills.
Minimum Staff to Child Ratio 1:4
Exploration is the focus of this kindergarden room. Children are encouraged to engage with their environment both physically and imaginatively, developing mobility and dexterity. Our team arrange activities such as baking, reading, singing, and crafting all designed to engage and challenge children, building their skills while they have fun.Minimum Staff to Child Ratio 1:8
At this age children are learning key life skills (including toilet training, feeding themselves and dressing) which we help them to improve. As their independence grows, children are encouraged to do more activities for themselves such as pouring their own drinks and helping to clear away after meals, building their coordination and dexterity. Communication and social skills are improved through group activities, discussions and games and our team help children to empathise and support their peers.
Children are exposed to foods from all key food groups to establish healthy eating habits they can continue into adulthood.
All meals are freshly prepared each day by our dedicated cooks using local ingredients wherever possible. We cater for any dietary requirements/allergies and serve wholesome meals in accordance with this.

We take our responsibility to serve healthy meals very seriously at Granary Wharf Nursery and offer a wide variety of nutritious food every day, as well as healthy snacks.
During mealtimes children learn the importance of a balanced diet and are encouraged to try new things and engage in conversation. We promote self-service, helping children improve decision-making, fine motor skills and dexterity.
Outdoor Play
Children love spending time outdoors and exploring their natural surroundings, so we make sure to venture outside every day.
The outdoor play area here at Granary Wharf Nursery offers a fantastic opportunity for children to keep fit and healthy while facing new challenges.
We have a wide variety of outdoor play equipment on offer to enable children to test their abilities in a safe environment, building their skills and confidence.
Our Team
All our key staff here at Granary Wharf Nursery are experienced and qualified in childcare as well as being paediatric first aid trained.
Our team members all receive continuous training so their knowledge is always up to date and we choose our staff based on their passion and commitment to providing outstanding childcare.
We always ensure there are significantly more qualified members of staff on site than the minimum requirements, so all children can get the attention they need.
Every child at the nursery is assigned a key worker on joining, who takes a special interest in their development and well-being. This key worker will organise activities to specifically aid the learning of your child and will provide updates on their progress.
