What is it like to work for Children’s Corner Childcare?
We have very high expectations for our team but we work hard to retain great employees, so you can expect the same in return from us in the form of the benefits detailed below.
We take care of the parents in our team, ensuring that it’s easy for them to work with us whilst getting precious time out with their own children. Work with us and, given plenty of notice, we will try hard to ensure you never miss a sports day or a Christmas Concert.
In addition, to supporting your home activities, you will also receive discounts for your own children to attend our nurseries and Chillout sessions
We’ve got the basics covered
We offer a salary commensurate with your experience and qualifications, excellent training and continuous professional development, and great promotion prospects. We offer a competitive pension scheme.
We always aim to promote to senior positions from within the company, this allows for internal promotion given we have numerous settings within the City of Leeds.
In addition, you will enjoy our comfortable, clean and friendly working environment complete with cosy staff rooms stocked with tea, coffee and biscuits, and care baskets.
Rewards and Recognition
We work hard to retain great talent and this involves great care to develop your career to keep you feeling challenged whilst enriching your qualifications.
You will receive regular, relevant training sessions delivered in-house or externally as appropriate, plus mentoring from our management team. Naturally, we will cover all of the associated costs in relation to any training.
All staff receive paediatric first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding training within their first three months of employment with us. Regular reviews ensure that your salary is at the correct level and increased when you achieve childcare qualifications. Promotion opportunities are also offered where we see potential and enthusiasm.
We are keen that our staff have a good working life balance so can offer, where appropriate, part time working or full time over four days. All our senior leadership team have mental health first aid qualifications, and all our staff have mental health first aid awareness so that we all look out for each other.
We offer a comprehensive continuous professional development with a performance related bonus scheme which is paid each year in time for Christmas.
Our Superstar of the Month award is where individuals are nominated by either parents, colleagues, and on occasion, some of the children in our care. The successful nomination receives a £250 bonus award paid directly into their salary that month.
We hold an annual Awards dinner which is open to all our colleagues to attend. This is an evening of celebration to thank them for their hard work and to recognise significant contributions made over the year. We really value and appreciate our staff – they make up our Children’s Corner family.
We take out two of our staff out to see our charity work in Malawi every other year and all staff can apply for this life changing trip!
